One of the benefits of an active ERBA membership is having access to club-owned equipment. See below the club's available equipment and the process for borrowing the equipment.
Available equipment:
How to borrow equipment:
Members requesting usage of the ERBA Equipment/Materials should email their request to the Association.
In the subject line of the email, include “Request to Borrow ERBA Equipment/Materials”.
The email should also list which specific piece(s) of equipment the member would like to borrow and the usage timeframes they are requesting.
Upon receipt of the request, ERBA officials will determine if the member is in good standing and when, and if, the requested equipment is available.
ERBA officials will then contact the requesting member with instructions as to where and when they can pick up the equipment.
Return procedures and timeframes will be determined at that time.
Special Honey Extractor Use Guidelines: To ensure that the Honey Extractor equipment is kept in excellent working order and available, users of the equipment will need to adhere to the following special guidelines for use and care.
LOAN DURATION:
The extractor equipment can be reserved and used for a maximum of two (2) days. The equipment must be returned no later than 8:00 p.m. of the second day.
The club member may reserve for a longer period if the equipment is not reserved immediately following the two day reservation. Approval must be obtained from the reservation personnel.
PICK-UP, DELIVERY, TRANSPORTATION:
Club members are responsible for the pick-up and return of the association’s Honey Extractor Equipment from the RESERVATION PERSONNEL/MEMBER or back-up.
When picking up the EXTRACTOR EQUIPMENT, it is the member’s responsibility to check and inspect for any damage and the cleanliness of the equipment. Please note and document any problems before taking possession.
If there is a reservation prior to and following your reservation, you may make arrangements with those individuals for pick-up and/or delivery rather than returning it to the clubs RESERVATION MEMBER.
OPERATION, USE, AND CLEANING OF THE EXTRACTOR:
You are responsible the proper use, care, and cleaning of the EXTRACTOR EQUIPMENT.
Please make sure that the equipment is not subjected to careless or needlessly rough usage, and return the EXTRACTOR EQUIPMENT in clean, top notch condition.
Before using, make sure that the EXTRACTOR EQUIPMENT is clean and free from any damage.
During use, make sure that the HONEY EXTRACTOR EQUIPMENT is not exposed to any pesticides, chemicals, petroleum products, paint, toxic substances or anything that would react with honey or damage the equipment.
When finished with the EXTRACTOR EQUIPMENT, clean it with hot water only, no soaps or chemicals.
Keep the equipment covered when not in use.
Laminated USER instructions will be provided with the EXTRACTION EQUIPMENT for your use. It is particularly important to keep the gate open during extraction. This will prevent honey from getting into the shaft of the extractor which could cause serious problems.
