Community Outreach

The East Richmond Beekeepers Association is committed to supporting pollinator education and awareness throughout the Richmond region.

ERBA offers beginner beekeeping classes and participates in community outreach at a variety of public events, including local libraries, farmers markets, and community gatherings. Members regularly share information about honeybees, pollinator-friendly gardening, and backyard beekeeping with people who are curious about getting started or simply want to learn more about the role pollinators play in our environment.

Recent outreach efforts have included presentations and educational tables at local libraries, the Dorey Park Farmers Market, the New Kent Farmers Market, the Chesterfield Honeybee Festival, Tractor Supply community events, the annual Virginia State Fair, and community events such as the Varina Big Toy Parade.

ERBA also partners with local schools to support pollinator education. The club is currently assisting with the installation of a pollinator garden at Highland Springs High School and helping support the school’s new apiary.

If you would like ERBA to be involved with your event, please contact us!
